MENTORSHIP TRAINING IN LILONGWE
Logos Ministries held a two-day mentorship training from Tuesday, 29th September to Wednesday, 30th September 2026 at the Logos campus in Lilongwe. The training brought together 16 local facilitators involved in Logos training programmes at various centres across the Central Region.
The objectives of the training were to:
- Promote familiarity with Scripture and deepen participants’ understanding of core Christian doctrines rooted in Scripture and the Reformed tradition.
- Develop servant leaders who model Christ-like character and effectively represent the objectives and values of the organisation.
- Enhance participants’ skills in biblical exposition, sermon structure, and effective delivery.
- Promote Christian character development and responsible stewardship through faithful management of resources, time, and the welfare of trainees.
The local facilitators expressed their appreciation to Logos Ministries for organising the training at an appropriate time, noting that it would significantly contribute to their effectiveness in serving as facilitators.
“We are assured that what we have learnt will positively contribute to our training work. We have been equipped not only with knowledge but also with practical leadership experience necessary for our work as local facilitators.”
Pastor E. Mwale, Central Region Training Coordinator, also expressed his appreciation to Logos Ministries for providing this much-needed training and emphasised its value in strengthening the ministry of local facilitators.
Logos Ministries considers mentorship programmes essential for its staff and trainees as they contribute to spiritual growth, leadership development, and the long-term health and continuity of the church and ministry. Such programmes foster a culture of “iron sharpening iron,” where experienced leaders guide and equip emerging leaders, creating a supportive network that strengthens the ministry as a whole.
The two-day training was facilitated by Pastor E. Mwale, Central Region Training Coordinator, and Rev. Mtonya, Sunday School Superintendent from CCAP Nkhoma Synod.
In his concluding remarks, the National Director of Logos Ministries thanked the local facilitators for attending the training and encouraged them to apply the knowledge, skills, and lessons gained in their daily lives and leadership roles as they serve the Body of Christ.
