Our Departments

The Finance and Administration department is responsible for managing an organization's financial health and overall administrative operations, including tasks like budgeting, accounting, payroll, procurement, and asset management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, effectively supporting the smooth functioning of all other departments within the organization by providing essential administrative and financial support services.

The Publications Office of the Logos Ministries is the official publishing services provider to all Logos Ministries' departments. This makes it the central access point to Logos Ministries publications, academic results, and other official information. Its primary aim is to support Logos programs, and activities and make a broad range of information publicly available as accessible and reusable data. The overall aim is to facilitate transparency, project activities, and the dissemination of information to the public and make all the works and programs of Logos public.

This is the heartbeat of our ministry. All the trainings are not only planned but also implemented by the department. Logos exists because of the pieces of training conducted by the department. Some of the specific functions of the department include the following:

  • Needs analysis: Identifying training needs by assessing current employee performance, industry changes, and future organizational goals to determine areas requiring development.
  • Curriculum development: Designing training programs, including content, delivery methods (e.g., classroom, online, on-the-job), and learning objectives aligned with identified training needs.
  • Program delivery: Facilitating training sessions, utilizing various teaching methods like lectures, simulations, case studies, and hands-on exercises.
  • Evaluation and measurement: Assessing the effectiveness of training programs through post-training assessments, performance reviews, and feedback from participants to identify areas for improvement. We also assess our students through the administration of examinations to ensure that they are ready to serve in various areas in their churches and communities.
  • Leadership development: Designing training programs to cultivate leadership skills in current and potential students, staff, church leaders, and community leaders.
  • Career development support: Providing guidance and opportunities for students and trainees to develop skills for career advancement.

LOGOS PROJECTS

Like any other institution, Logos undertakes various projects to assist its activities. LOGOS' strategic thinking has now shifted to pursuing initiatives that can help in sustaining the budget locally. There are various initiatives that LOGOS endeavors to undertake in the medium to long term in an effort to generate resources locally to supplement our budget income.

The critical start-up support provided to LOGOS by Word and Deed towards the Chilanga Cassava Nursery Project is just one of the business activities that have set LOGOS on a local sustainability path, and the budgeted profits thereof have been factored into the 2026 LOGOS Malawi Budget. As an extension to the Chilanga Cassava Project, efforts are underway to diversify this into Beans Production, starting the 2025/2026 growing season.

Besides, Logos is working on the possibility of establishing a printing firm that can provide its printing services, such as the production and publishing of its training manuals. This will also act as an income-generating activity.
