MENTORSHIP TRAINING IN THE SOUTHERN REGION

Logos Ministries conducted a three-day mentorship training from Tuesday, 13 October, to Thursday, 15 October 2026, at Limbe Presbytery CCAP in Blantyre. The training brought together 31 local facilitators involved in Logos Ministries’ training programmes at various centres across the Southern Region. On this occasion, participants from Chikwawa and Blantyre joined for a joint training session.

The main objectives of the training were to:

  • Promote familiarity with Scripture and deepen participants’ understanding of core Christian doctrines rooted in Scripture and the Reformed tradition.
  • Develop servant leaders who model Christ-like character and effectively uphold the objectives and values of the organisation.
  • Enhance participants’ skills in biblical exposition, sermon preparation, structuring, and effective delivery.
  • Promote Christian character development and responsible stewardship through the faithful management of resources, time, and the welfare of trainees.

The local facilitators expressed their appreciation to Logos Ministries for organising the training at an appropriate time. They noted that the programme would significantly strengthen their knowledge, skills, and effectiveness in carrying out their responsibilities as facilitators.

One of the participants remarked:

“We are confident that what we have learned will positively contribute to our work as facilitators. We have been equipped not only with knowledge but also with practical leadership skills necessary for our responsibilities as local facilitators.”

Pastor E. Mwale and Mr V. Chipa, the respective training coordinators for the Central and Southern Regions, expressed their appreciation to Logos Ministries for providing this much-needed training. They emphasised the importance of mentorship in equipping local facilitators and strengthening the ministry’s training programmes.

Logos Ministries recognises mentorship programmes as essential to the spiritual growth and leadership development of its staff and trainees. These programmes contribute to the long-term health, growth, and continuity of the Church and the ministry. They also promote the biblical principle of “iron sharpening iron,” whereby experienced leaders guide, encourage, and equip emerging leaders. Through this process, mentorship fosters a supportive learning environment and builds a stronger network of leaders committed to serving the Body of Christ.

The facilitators for this training were Mr M. Kamnkhwani, National Director of Logos Ministries, and Pastor E. Mwale, Central Region Training Coordinator.

In his closing remarks, the National Director thanked the local facilitators for their participation. He challenged them to apply the knowledge, skills, and lessons learned during the training in their daily lives and leadership responsibilities. He further urged them to remain committed to faithful, effective service as they contribute to the growth and edification of the Body of Christ.
